Susan M. Ferenbach
Susan Ferenbach has over 20 years of experience working on archaeological sites in the Delaware Valley. The majority of her experience is in Delaware, most recently on numerous colonial sites along the proposed new alignment of U.S. Route 301 for the Delaware Department of Transportation. Ms. Ferenbach is in charge of Hunter Research’s Delaware lab on the outskirts of Odessa where she organizes artifacts recovered from sites and supervises crews washing, labeling, cataloging and preparing collections for curation. When not in the lab, Ms. Ferenbach supervises crews in the field, overseeing Phase I, II and III/Data Recovery excavations, record-keeping and logistics. Her research interests are in prehistoric and early colonial site formation.
