A Dig in the Park (7/7/08):

Beginning in July of 2008 Hunter Research will be undertaking a major program of archaeological exploration adjacent to the New Jersey State House in conjunction with the design development for New Jersey's Capital Park, a new urban state park in downtown Trenton that will focus heavily on the city's history. The main focus of these studies will be the colonial iron and steel manufacturing complex that straddled the now culverted course of Petty's Run.

History in Store (7/7/08):

Data recovery excavations and historical research will shortly begin at Boyd's Corner, Delaware, for the Delaware Department of Transportation. This is the site of a store that began operation in the second quarter of the 19th century. The investigations are expected to contribute important new information on rural life in 19th-century Delaware. (http://www.deldot.gov/archaeology/)
