Matt DelGuercio joined Hunter Research as an Archaeologist in April 2024. Matt has diverse experience in and around New Jersey in all phases of archaeological fieldwork and monitoring, laboratory processing of artifacts, historical research and implementation and assisting in report preparation. He has a strong background in land surveying with professional experience as both a Land Survey Party Chief and CAD Technician in the world of civil engineering. Matt currently assists with graphics, mapping and other GIS-related tasks on archaeological and architectural survey projects. Matt’s recent projects include the Cedar Hill Stage III Archaeological Mitigation in Wyckoff Township, New Jersey, the Clara Barton House Phase II Archaeological Investigation in Glen Echo, Maryland and the Johnson Ferry House Archaeological Monitoring at Washington Crossing Park, New Jersey. He graduated from Monmouth University’s History and Anthropology programs (B.A., 2019) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology.
