Josh DiPrima joined Hunter Research as an Architectural Historian/Historian in May 2023 and was promoted to Senior Architectural Historian/Historian in June 2024. His current duties consist of public history projects, including program planning, interpretive signage and exhibit creation, as well as utilizing his experience in historic research for architectural and archaeological surveys. He assists senior staff advancing projects through the Section 106 (36 CFR 800) and 4(f) regulatory processes for cultural resources. Recent projects at Hunter Research include the Asbury Mill Exhibit in Asbury, New Jersey and historic interpretive signs for the George Washington Statue and Rotary Island in Trenton, New Jersey.

Josh is a graduate of Rutgers University’s Public History Program (M.A., 2023) and Rowan University’s History and Psychology Programs (B.A., 2021). He joined the team with a strong knowledge and passion for the history of the greater Philadelphia area and has years of experience in various public history roles. Prior to joining Hunter Research, he curated exhibits with The Journal of the Plague Year and Bartram’s Garden in Philadelphia, served as an editorial assistant for the Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia, and provided tours at Red Bank Battlefield.

Josh meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards (36 CFR 61) in History and Architectural History.
