Carly Adler joined Hunter Research in June 2022 as an Architectural Historian/Historian. Carly has exceptional attention to detail and her creative background fosters her ability to solve complex problems regarding historical research and architectural analysis. She has recently helped research and write successful National Register Nominations for Weequahic High School in the City of Newark and the Dempsey Pump House in Middletown Township.
Carly is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s program in Historic Preservation (M.S., 2022) and the University of Vermont (B.A., Studio Art, 2011). Her thesis centered on material analysis and preservation issues of artist Isaiah Zagar’s public mosaic murals in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining Hunter Research, Carly worked as an art teacher for kindergarten through eighth grade. She has held positions at the Indian King Tavern Museum (Haddonfield, N.J.), Batsto Village (Hammonton, N.J.), and assisted the Center for Architectural Conservation at the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument (Florissant, CO).
Carly meets the Secretary of the Interior’s Professional Qualifications Standards (36 CFR 61) in History and Architectural History.
